Resort perfection

Off the shoulder and ruffles have always been a signature of Jill Stuart but she knocked it out of the ball park for me with this resort collection. The seersucker, the crisp poplin and the minimal floral prints are light, tasteful and pure resort perfection.

Its pretty clear to say that the off the shoulder is the new hit silhouette for the summer. If you think I am wrong step into every store and see that there is ether a dress or a top silhouette that is off the shoulder. I think its such a fun way to show some skin with out exposing to much. I preferable love the off the shoulder tops because you can throw it on with some jeans and sneakers and you are ready to go! Here are some of my favorites I found.

New Obsessions

+ Common Projects sneaks  + Define + A.P.C. Bag  + Linen Jumper  + Stella Ring  + Grown Alchemist cream

Wow feels like I have been absent for so long. I was in the mids of a move and just putting a lot of things together with work and personal life. I got some down time to finally put some of the things i’m obsessing over.  First off, the archilles three strap sneaker, umm the color and everything is perfect. I am always up for an awesome magazine and I love the DEFINE: Shape issue 2. Its 96 pages of pure cool. You can’t ever have enough rad bags and I love this small vegetable tanned Italian leather soho bag. Holy smokes how cute is this linen jumper? I will totally live in this all summer long, stylish pjs everyday, yes please. Every girl can use a little more bling on each finger. I’m digging this minimal stella ring in sterling silver. And lastly this Intensive hand cream from Grown Alchemist, they have good products and smelling like notes of persian rose isn’t bad itself.

I am not much of a heel girl but I am more of a mid-heel girl if I am feeling something  more than a sneaker or a flat heel. Lately I have been all about mid-heel shoes just because I feel like they make my legs look a little longer and just make me feel a little more dressed up, even if I am just wearing jeans and a tee. I’m specially digging the nude/taupe color shoe with more of a block heel for this up coming spring wardrobe staple.

A.P.C | Outdoor Voices

Yes, Stella is bringing it back to Los Angeles with pre-fall 16′. Stella McCartney has always been one of my favorites. She always adds great details into every  collection that don’t make you feel like it too over the top. She always has this super cool girl vibe, not too tomboy and not too girly. I totally dig all the slouchy 70’s inspired, feline theme going on here. The cable knits, the silks, and all the asymmetrical separates. And last to complement the shoe collection, which yes, I will take one of each, thanks!

Just let it in.

Yes, i’m this cliche right now, but you know what I have grown so much love for this magic of creation, that i don’t care. I have become obsessed since episode IV, (which is my favorite episode.) It took me 26 years to watch episodes IV,V,VI and I am so happy I waited this long. I did watch I,II,III when they came out but its not like watching the original characters.

I have become so obsessed with Star Wars, I think I have watched every George Lucas interview too. Star Wars isn’t about a galaxy war and lightsabers. Its about family and life lessons that I don’t think I would of ever understood until now. Its a huge family affair, “like a soap opera.” Right now it makes me so jealous knowing my fiance met JJ Abrams before the force Awakens came out, even thought before watching it I felt like I shouldn’t, like I was betraying Lucas. But its an amazing film and if you haven’t watched it you should! Now I am going to go watch every episode for the millionth time.

Colorful Abstraction

Sadly this week we lost the master of colorful abstraction. Ellsworth was an inspiration to all and we mourn that someone so great has passed.

Fall/Winter beauty

The weather is changing quickly and my skin and hair can feel it. I don’t have dry or oily skin but having good products that just give that extra little help is always a plus. These are some of my favorite products I have tried that work well on my skin and hair. What I specially love about these is that these are all really cool travel size. With the holidays approaching and lots of travel required, its always so nice to have your favorite care products with you.

+ Herbivore Lip Conditioner– Seriously the best. Its like butter on your lips and hydrates like no other. The Coco rose is my favorite.

+ Fresh Lotus Radiance Lotion– Its such a great lightweight moisturizer that just gives you that radiant glow.

+ Aesop Shine– My favorite, it smells good, its lightweight and hydrates your hair without making it feel oily or heavy.

+ Complexion water– This Fig+Yarrow water is so awesome you can mist it over your face or hair for a little extra hydration with a small amount of aroma.

Hair colors to try now

black blush hair lights white redorange

Its fall and I think its a good time for everyone to change it up a little. I’m talking hair here. I like fresh new starts even though I have not colored by hair in about a year. Holy cow did pigs start to fly… I really miss having hair color but right now I am currently doing the lived in/ tri color where my hair is growing out and now you  can kinda see my natural color/ dark brown color to cover my ombre/ balayage from my ombre peaking through. But its great because I get so many compliments still on my “subtle ombre look,” what everyone calls it.

Here are some looks I think are worth giving a try this fall.

+ Natural Dark color | I really like how dark hair tends to look on everyone during the colder days. With a fresh face, bold eyebrows and a dark lip. Perfect!

+ Blush Baby | If you are over the baby pink, blush is the way to go. I feel like the blush is much more subtle and adds a little more color to the skin with its warmer peach tones to it. Plus its always super fun to have cool hair color that isn’t so bold.

+ Warm Caramel | A fun update to boring ol’ highlights. I like this darker caramel color because it just adds that little extra shine and dimension to your hair without making you feel like you totally went wild with the hair color and keeps you in the comfort zone with a little kick.

+ Silver fox | I’m all for this color. I think if you are going to go blonde, go silver. It’s fun and super edgy. Even if you let the roots grow out I think this silver color is still super rad and will look great if you are trying to update the platinum look.

+ Hot Mama | I love the washed out orangish color you get after your Auburn washes out. It’s such a great color on most skins and it just brightens up the complexion.
